Redang 22.09.06 - 24.09.06

3D2N sure aint enuf for the trip. Could have done more and see more if i have one more day. But it was a great trip with great company.

Took a 1.5hr flight to redang itself from Seletar Airport. Interesting and probably a one-time -only experience to fly off from Seletar. Tiny airport... there aint even a cafe at all while waiting for the flight.. now that's the sucky part. The 48-seater flight was tiny and frankly i didnt feel all that safe onboard but well, i did make my way there and back in one piece.

Upon touching down at Redang, we took the airport transfer to Berjaya Resort and we got lucky... Upgrade to the new wing at no extra charge! Bigger, better and cleaner room. Now, anybody who knows me know that I am very anal about accomodation, so the upgrade was a good thing for me.

After "dumping" my heavy bag in the room, I went for a walk ard the resort and then straight to da beach... muz maximise vit D exposure! The beach is beautiful... soft white sand, clear blue sea, nice breeze with warm sunlight... good enuf for a tan but not too damaging for the skin.

The 2nd day was spent snorkelling at the marine park (a 5min drive from the resort) very early in the morning. Okay... highlight of the snorkelling trip, i saw some baby sharks! There were other fishes as well.. swordfish, clown fish, eel and some other fishes which i dunno wat they are called lah.. haha. Was trying to find turtles but couldnt see any. The whole snorkelling lasted for about 3hrs and then back to the resort. Snorkelling is actually quite tiring or maybe i weak... :(

Noon was spent by the beach bar, with some really good pizza, chips and juice. After lunch, i simply juz dozed off on the deck chair for a good 45mins or so. Got woken up by the heat and went straight for a dip in the sea. I found school of fishes at one corner of the sea and decide to go buy some fish food and get the snorkel equipments again and spent the rest of the afternoon throwing the feeds at the fishies or rather irritating them with the feed. It was quite fun watching them fighting for the food...haha. I am evil.

Erm... can i post up the pix later cos i need some time to shrink the pix.. it is waaayyy too big.

Now this is one wish fulfilled.. a beach resort trip! So looking forward to the nxt one... probably shall go Krabi. Recommendations, anyone?
